Sandy Ridge Shuttle FUNDRAISER Event
We came, we shuttled, we raised more than $3,000 for Sandy Ridge Trail Fund in a single weekend. There were usually 0 riders standing in waiting area to load up and THAT is a key thing for successful shuttle event. Hope to do this again sometime!
We will have 3 trucks (two 24' and one 16')... you'll shuttle in style while you stand holding your bike (which means no scratches or dings to your frame while in transit!)...
Current NWTA members will receive pint glass as special gift at sign-in day of event!Registration options
We will have partner bike shop mechanic tents, a first aid tent, and NWTA Bike Patrol but you are on your own for lunch (pack food or head to a nearby resturant or bar & grill).
There will be 3 stakebed shuttle trucks... self-load and hold your own bike. Kind of like we did in 2010 at Black Rock for fundraiser to help pay for the ST240 single track machine! Shuttle trucks will run at regular intervals from 9:30am to 4:30pm from trailhead loading zone to top of the trail system.
Here's how it works day of the shuttle...
First, stop at the check-in table to get your shuttle pass (your name will be on the list if you have sent in the minimum $50 donation thru the special Donate link to register for event).
Step #1 : Show your shuttle pass, then load yourself and your bike onto the shuttle truck
Step #2 Hang on for trip to the top! (seriously, you hold your own bike and gear which is a good thing since you'll be able to make sure it doesn't get scratched in transport)
Step #3 RIDE!... and REPEAT (go to Step #1)photographer: Shane Wilson
