Three Opportunities for You to Take Action and Help Create more Mountain Biking Options in WA!

Three opportunities are coming up this month for you to make your voice and opinions heard - and help create more mountain biking opportunities around the state:

Help Create the Future for Washington State Parks:

Lewis River / Falls Creek double

Sat, 06/09/2012 - 8:00am - 3:00pm

This event is the best way to hit two of my favorite trail in one day. Goal is to ride Lewis River as a out and back and finish with a shuttle on Falls Creek. Two separate rides combined into one day is not for the unprepared. So pull out your maps and check it out and see if you are up for the adventure.

More details as we get closer to the event.

Group ride will be led by Dennis V and Ted D

Stella trails: Parking rescinded on Harmony Rd

Please note that due to conflict with cyclists, the local landowners have rescinded the private parking rights for recreational users at the end of Harmony Rd for the Stella trails.

As with all trails on PRIVATE land (like Scappoose), please respect the rights of the landowners.

Thanks

The following is from Bob Stanton, a Longview area guy who is a key trail designer/builder/maintainer/Harmonic ConvergenSS organizer and rider.

"Notice to all,

The homeowners at the end of Harmony road (Longview, WA) have rescinded the parking privileges that we had previously enjoyed.

Herbicide treatments underway at Larch block this summer.

Cold Creek Mountain Bikers,

You may have noticed the signs that went up a week or two ago about spraying. Here is what you need to know.

Corn Palace is the area to be sprayed that affects the Cold Creek Trail. Look for the "no entry" signs before riding the trail. The closure is for 12 hours. Please post on FB/WL/or reply to this email as soon as you see a sign so we can start the countdown clock. There is no impact to the Tarbell Trail except on the Cold Creek section, but there is impact to the Bells Mountain Trail. See below for more information.

Thanks,
Eric
