LapQuest 2026 Recap: A Little Rain, A Lot of Fun

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s LapQuest a success.

From the volunteers who spent weeks preparing EasyCLIMB to the event hosts, riders, and supporters who showed up on event day, LapQuest once again demonstrated what makes the NW Trail Alliance community so special.

While this year’s event was a bit smaller than usual due to the rainy forecast, the weather ultimately cooperated. Riders enjoyed a mix of sunshine and rain throughout the day, creating ideal conditions for tackling lap after lap on one of the region’s favorite trail systems. As any mountain biker knows, a day spent riding bikes on great trails is a good day.

The timing could not have been better. Since LapQuest concluded, Cascade Locks has been hit by back-to-back heavy rainstorms, making the event feel like it landed in the perfect weather window.

A special thank you goes out to everyone who helped prepare EasyCLIMB in advance of the event. Trail work volunteers put in the effort to ensure the trails were ready for riders, and their hard work helped create a great experience for everyone who participated.

We would also like to recognize Chuck, Sue, and Chris for helping host the event. Their support and dedication were instrumental in making the day run smoothly.

Thank you again to all of our volunteers, riders, hosts, and supporters for making LapQuest 2026 a fun and memorable day. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the trails soon.
